Pittsburgh-based Wesco International, a provider of business-to-business distribution, logistics services and supply chain solutions, recently completed its purchase of Rahi Systems Holdings, a provider of global large-scale data center solutions, for 217 millions of dollars.

The purchase price is approximately seven and a half times Rahi’s expected 12-month adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization as of September 30.

Rahi helps customers manage and simplify technology. The purchase allows Wesco to strengthen its data center solutions offerings.

“With over 900 employees in 25 countries and approximately $400 million in 12-month revenue, Rahi provides complementary global coverage and enhances our comprehensive suite of data center solutions for contractors, integrators and end users,” Bill Geary, Wesco Communications and Executive Vice President and General Manager of Security Solutions. “This significant investment fuels the growth of our technology-focused customers, who can now leverage Wesco’s combined global footprint, infrastructure and IT expertise.”

Rahi will be part of Wesco’s Communication and Security Solutions strategic business unit.

Wesco announced its intention to purchase Rahi in September.

Wesco operates approximately 800 branches, warehouses and sales offices in more than 50 countries. It employs approximately 18,000 people, offers nearly 1.5 million products and has annual sales of over $18 billion.
