Jeff Kiernan served as senior news director at WXYZ and WMYD, the ABC affiliate of Scripps and independent local television stations in Detroitsince January 2021.
Now he’s moving to the City of Twinkling Lights.
Kiernan will assume the role of vice president and general manager of KTNV-13, the ABC subsidiary of Scripps in Vegasefficient July 25.

His career path at multiple Scripps stations is a great example of the culture of employee growth and development that we cultivate at Scripps, and we are proud to have him stepping into this new role.
Before his move to Detroithe ran the newsroom for WTMJ-4, Scripps’ local television station in Milwaukee. In this role, he guided WTMJ’s coverage of drinking and driving – its flagship local reporting issue – and led the development and launch of the station’s local news on over-the-top platforms.
