Samson Wealth Management Group merges with Maryland company

Fort Washington-based Samson Wealth Management Group, an independent wealth management and investment firm, recently completed its merger with Maryland-based XML Financial Group, an independent wealth management and investment firm.

The merger became effective July 1 and will help XML expand its footprint in Pennsylvania and expand the businesses’ technology and operational support systems.

Samson Wealth Management Group provides financial planning services to high net worth individuals, businesses and families in the Philadelphia metropolitan area and nationwide. XML Financial Group provides wealth and investment management services and wealth management application to high net worth individuals, businesses and families nationwide. It has offices in Maryland, Virginia and Colorado.

Samson will join the XML leadership team.

XML Securities, XML’s affiliate broker, and XML hold approximately $3 billion in client assets. The addition of Samson adds approximately $644 million in additional assets.
