Range Resources Corp., a Texas-based natural gas and natural gas liquids producer focused on stacked revenue projects in the Appalachian Basin, recently released its 2021-2022 Corporate Sustainability Report.

The report provides data on a variety of topics of interest to stakeholders, including progress towards net zero Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2025.

Since 2018, Range production emissions in Pennsylvania have decreased by more than 48%.

Overall, the company reduced methane emissions intensity by 75% and achieved a 58% decrease in GHG emissions.

“We believe our energy future will continue to be more diverse and can only be sustained with further natural gas development,” said Chairman and CEO Jeff Ventura. “Natural gas produced in Appalachia has the best track record for answering that call. Third-party research shows Range is at the top of its class, ranking first with the lowest CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) emissions intensity among our closest peers and the rest of the global industry upstream. Combined with our best-in-class inventory, we believe Range is well positioned to help deliver long-term energy solutions for the world.

Additionally, the company has paid out more than $3.3 billion in impact fees, royalties and lease payments, and charitable contributions between 2006 and 2021.
