The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce recently announced its new Executive Committee and members of its Board of Directors.
Michael Innocenzo, president and CEO of PECO, a Philadelphia-area electric and natural gas utility, will serve as the next chairman of the board.
Innocenzo has served on the chamber’s board of directors since 2018 and on its executive committee since 2019. In addition, he is a member of the Satell Institute, has advisory roles with Drexel University and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and serves on the boards of Electric Power Research. Institute, the American Gas Association, the Philadelphia Police Athletic League, the Philadelphia Free Library, and the Franklin Institute.
Innocenzo has worked for PECO for 34 years in several operational leadership roles.
“Mike is a true civic leader who has already had a tremendous impact on the economic growth of the Greater Philadelphia area,” said House President and CEO Chellie Cameron. “Furthermore, his commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion among chamber members and the broader business community will continue to be paramount during his tenure. We are honored that he be our next president.”
The appointments take effect on October 15.
PECO serves 1.7 million electric customers and 545,000 natural gas customers in southeastern Pennsylvania.
