Metal Supplier Expands Presence in Building Owned by Weston > Columbia Business Report

Metals supplier Sage International has expanded its operations to 103 Lachicotte Road in Lugoff in a building that is the port of Weston’s south east industrial property portfolio.

After initially signing a 45,197 square foot lease in the building in 2021, the international provider of manufactured goods and services for metal forming, casting and stamping has expanded to the entire space of 121,017 square feet when it became available.

The property is owned by Cleveland-based commercial real estate owner and developer Weston Inc., which has nearly 7 million square feet of assets in South Carolina.

Necklaces | Chuck Salley, Dave Mathews, Thomas Beard and John Peebles of South Carolina represented Weston in the expansion and also found a tenant to sublet some of the expansion space until Sage expanded.

Sage recently expanded its reach with the acquisition of US-based Trident Components LLC, known for its metal casting, metal forming and plastics molding capabilities; and Jayco Manufacturing, recognized for its expertise in metal forming, powder coating and rapid prototyping.

“Weston is delighted that we have been able to find a solution for Sage as its business continues to grow,” Eileen McConville, asset manager of Weston Inc., said in a Colliers press release. “It’s a valued tenant, and we look forward to serving them for years to come.”

Grant Butler of Colliers is the property manager at 103 Lachicotte Road.

Two leased Vista office spaces

NAI Columbia brokers facilitated the rental of two office spaces in the Congaree Vista.

Peyton Bryant and Ryan Causey facilitated the rental of 2,750 square feet of office space at 1325 Park St. and the rental of 2,600 square feet of office space at 1331 Park St.

“We were thrilled to help the condominium lease its two vacant spaces at these historic, upscale Park Street properties,” Bryant said in a press release. “These leases are testimony to an office rental market that is rebounding and beginning to thrive again after several years of pandemic-related difficulties. Columbia is a great place to do business, and more businesses are realizing that every day.
