Chambersburg-based Martin’s Famous Potato Rolls and Bread announced Thursday that it will expand to the retail market in Cleveland, Ohio.

The company said it will make its fresh produce available to retail stores and clubs in the Cleveland area, including its potato sandwiches, hot dog buns, rolls, dinner rolls , hoagie buns and old fashioned butter bread.

“We’re excited to get things started in the Cleveland market! Our team is focused on providing the best product with the best possible service for our stores and our customers,” said Tom Sullivan, regional sales manager at Martin’s. “We look forward to serving other retail chains, food establishments and restaurants in the near future.”

Martin’s is known for the freshness, taste and texture of its products, which are the result of its high quality ingredients such as high protein wheat flour, skimmed milk, potatoes, pure cane sugar , yeast and real butter, the company said. The company’s sources provide non-GMO ingredients, the company said, and none of their products contain artificial colors or sweeteners.

Martin’s has been a staple in Pennsylvania since 1955, when Lloyd and Lois Martin started the business in their garage. Since initially offering its wares at local farmers markets, the business has grown to cover most of the East Coast and various major cities like Chicago, Nashville, New Orleans and Houston. Martin’s expanded into the Dallas-Fort Worth market last year.

The company is headquartered in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and has a second bakery in Valdosta, Georgia.
