The Kirklees Safeguarding Children Partnership (KSCP) is the organization responsible for agreeing on how services and agencies work together to protect and promote the well-being of children and young people in the district and to ensure that they do it effectively.
The three ‘protection partners’, the police, local authority and health, work with a wide range of organizations to formulate local arrangements for child protection, in consultation with key stakeholders, including children and children. youth.

About the job.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced manager to provide leadership and support to our protection partners, who can help advance the work of the partnership, promote the well-being and safety of children, and ensure that children’s learning. Child protection practice reviews inform and improve future safeguarding practices across the district.
The successful candidate will oversee and manage the operational implementation of the KSCP business plan, providing high quality strategic support to the partnership – championing the voice of the child, promoting a multi-agency learning culture of high support and high challenge and ensuring compliance with statutory provisions and procedural and quality assurance frameworks.
Listening to the voices and experiences of young people and their families is essential, and at the heart of this role is the development of strategies for participation and engagement, to inform and improve planning and service delivery. You will also engage and consult with key stakeholders and partner agencies to support system-wide learning and improvement and ensure that strategies, policies and procedures are integrated across the partnership for the protection of children.
We need someone who is passionate about child protection, has detailed knowledge and is able to provide a clear understanding of best practices. You will have the experience of working with partner agencies at a strategic level. You will be motivated and experienced in management or leadership. You will be confident in your knowledge of legislation and statutory guidance, policies and procedures and multi-agency safeguard provisions and able to provide high quality operational and strategic advice, support and guidance throughout the partnership .
This role is essential to support our goal of continuous improvement of our safeguard arrangements and frontline multi-agency practices and has the management responsibility of the business unit.
