Purpose of the role:

Provide HR support to the COO and other executives by assisting, shaping, guiding and managing the company’s hiring, onboarding, conflict management and team building processes .

  • Help attract top talent through innovative selection methods
  • Provide specialist knowledge, skills and competencies in all areas of human resource management to employees and business leaders
  • Build the talent pipeline through effective recruitment and retention strategies
  • Communicate the corporate culture in all areas for a good integration of new employees
  • Provide support and guidance regarding discipline in the workplace
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records at all times through the effective use of employee management systems
  • Respond to employee questions and resolve issues in a prompt and professional manner
  • Collect and analyze data with useful HR metrics to provide key statistics for business decisions
  • Ensure consistent and correct application of all HR policies and procedures


  • Ensure compliance with all laws and legal requirements within the personnel department
  • Ensure recruitment and talent management are aligned with company EE plans.
  • Good knowledge of the Basic Terms and Conditions of Employment Act, Labor Relations Act, Employment Equity Act and other relevant legislation
