Georgia-based Queensborough National Bank and Trust Company opened its first South Carolina location in downtown Columbia on Thursday. The office, located at 522 Lady St. in the Congaree Vista, District will provide commercial lending services.
Queensborough officials from across Georgia joined representatives from the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and other members of the business community to celebrate the new expansion.
Jordan Goetzman, vice president and commercial lender from Queensborough, will lead the bank’s Columbia office. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and has 20 years of experience in strategic sales, account management and business development, according to a biography provided by Queensborough.
“Jordan’s strong work ethic and community involvement make him a great addition to the Queensborough team,” said Tillman Sauls, Queensborough Senior Vice President and Commercial Region Manager. “As we begin our relationship with the Columbia community, I am confident that Jordan is the right person to lead this business. His values and talents align with Queensborough’s core values.
Founded in 1902, the bank is headquartered in Louisville, Georgia, and has 27 branches across the state, primarily in Augusta and the Savannah area.
William Easterlin, the bank’s president and chief executive, said he is looking forward to building relationships with businesses in Colombia and also hopes to provide a more personal experience for customers.
“We like to say that Queensborough is big enough for all general business needs and small enough to get all your questions answered quickly,” Easterlin said.
Queensborough has been named Georgia’s Best Small Bank for 2021 by Newsweek.
