Five Points Consignment Shop Celebrates 30th Anniversary > Columbia Business Report

The Five Points Resale Luxury Resale consignment celebrates its 30th anniversary this weekend.

The store, located at 737 Saluda Ave., is planning an anniversary rally this afternoon with Columbia Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, officials from the city’s Office of Economic Development and store owner Heather Craig Burns. Plus, a weekend sale will offer 15% off all regular-priced items in-store and online.

Resale opened on May 1, 1992.

“Five Points is truly fortunate to have such incumbent retailers as Resale Luxury Resale,” said Katy Renfroe, association manager for the Five Points Association, in a press release. “Having retailers stick around for this long, and longer, keeps our credibility as a thriving and viable business district in Columbia intact. We are happy to celebrate the success of their store with them and look forward to many years to come.

Founded in 1992 by Debbie McDaniel, the consignment was renamed Resale Luxury Resale when longtime employee Burns purchased the store in January 2016. The store specializes in high-end boutique and designer items, including clothing , shoes, handbags, jewelry and accessories.

“The past 30 years have been full of adventures, milestones and good times,” said Burns, who started working at the studio in 2001. “I can’t wait to see what the next chapter has in store for us. !”
