David Lockwood, COO and Executive Vice President of Necklaces | Caroline from the southwas elected to a one-year term as Chairman of the Global Board of Directors of Company of industrial and office real estate agents.

Lockwood’s tenure will begin in October at SIOR’s CREate 360 ​​conference in Dallas. He will assume the role of Global President in the fall of 2023.

Lockwood earned his SIOR designation in 1990 and was elected the current Vice President of SIOR in 2021. He also served as Past President of the SIOR Carolinas Chapter and served two terms on the SIOR National Board of Directors. He has held a total of over 20 positions with SIOR, including eight years as a SIOR representative on the executive committee of the National Association of Realtors.

At Colliers, Lockwood’s core areas of expertise include brokerage management, market analysis, lease negotiations, corporate services and advisory brokerage. He has been with Colliers since 1986, starting as an office brokerage associate before leading the Columbia rental division of Colliers | South Carolina and eventually promoted to his current position.

Lockwood also holds CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and CRE (Counselor of Real Estate) designations. He is currently Vice Chairman of the South Carolina Real Estate Commission and Commissioner representing the 2nd Congressional District. He is also past president of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Board of Visitors at Clemson University, where he chairs the student engagement committee.
