We are looking for an experienced human resources professional to lead priority initiatives to ensure that our environment and business department has people with the right backgrounds, experiences and skills to maximize the impact of our work. This work involves liaising with government to ensure that legislation and policy are effective and translated into practical actions for operational teams to protect and improve our environment.
You will build networks across the business, influencing and implementing the work led by our Corporate Human Resources Program team and Human Resources to implement our organizational HR strategy. This covers wellbeing, leadership, equality, diversity and inclusion, skills and workforce planning. Your goal will be to translate a comprehensive people plan into a program of measurable, deliverable actions that help people perform at their best at work and have the greatest positive impact on the environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have provided strategic and tactical workforce planning, particularly around skills, development and succession planning. You will be confident in delivering large-scale recruitment and selection campaigns and you will have a proven track record of improving equality, diversity and inclusion. You will also have knowledge of matrix and hierarchical management.
Ready to use innovative solutions to solve business problems, you will be comfortable communicating, engaging and influencing diverse stakeholder groups to create and maintain networks that support delivery. Passionate about people and inclusiveness, you will have a good understanding of yourself and the skills to adapt your approach to different audiences. You will need to be tenacious and resilient to cope with a demanding workload. Membership of a relevant professional body such as the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development or the Chartered Management Institute would be an advantage.
