BLM Releases Draft Business Plan for Public Review for Public Information Center

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Bureau of Land Management today released the draft business plan for the Alaska State Office Public Information Center in Anchorage for a 30-day public comment period. The plan includes details of where America the Beautiful interagency passes will be sold, associated operating costs, financial analysis, and proposed use of revenue collected. The public is encouraged to comment on the draft business plan until October 28.

“The Alaska Public Information Center is one of the few places in Anchorage where the public can purchase the America the Beautiful Interagency Pass,” said Zach Million, outdoor recreation planner for the Bureau of LandManagement. “Up to 100 percent of the revenue generated by the Interagency Pass Program enables the Bureau of Land Management to improve public recreational resources and educational programs throughout Alaska.”

The Alaska State Office Public Information Center, located in the Courthouse and James M. Fitzgerald United States Federal Building at 222 West 7th Ave. in downtown Anchorage, Alaska is a full-service resource for the visiting public. Here visitors can transact business related to mining, land and real estate services, and find a wealth of information, including maps and brochures on recreational and educational items. Center staff are available 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The public is also invited to consult the centre’s brochures, maps and online notices.

The draft business plan is available on our BLM Business Plan page.
