Architecture Firm Appoints New COO > Columbia Business Report

McMillan Pazdan Smithan architectural firm headquartered in Columbia with offices across the state, has appointed a new chief operating officer.

Mark Gettig was previously president of LifeMade, a division of the Greer-based manufacturer Jadex Inc.. Gettig has also worked in finance, operations and general management for Jarden Corp., Unilever and Bose.

In his new role, Gettig will focus on financial management, team development and optimizing support services across MPS’s seven offices in three states.

“McMillan Pazdan Smith is full of truly talented and accomplished people,” Gettig said in a press release. “I look forward to using my experience to be part of the positive impact this company is having in all of the communities where we operate.”

Last October, McMillan Pazdan Smith merged with Columbia Corporation Watson Tate Savoy. MPS also has offices in Greenville, Charleston, Charlotte, Spartanburg, Asheville and Atlanta.

A chartered CPA, Gettig received his MBA in finance and accounting from Boston University.
