A “Mojo” movement for Cumulus on mobile

Cumulus Media has a new director of operations for its radio stations in Mobile.

He’s a 26-year-old radio industry veteran who started his career at night at WFLZ-FM in Tampa and most recently served as director of operations for Southern Broadcasting in Florence-Muscle Shoals, Ala.

Take the post is Vincent “Mojo” Wilsonwho will oversee the legendary R&B station WBLX-FMAdult R&B Brother WDLT-FMTop 40 WABD-FM, Gospel WGOK-AM and speak WXQW-AM.

Mojo will also serve as program director for WABD and WXQW and will take the midday shift on the Top 40 station formerly known as WABB under the ownership of the Dittman family.

Wilson’s resume includes on-air host service at WMGC “105.1 The Bounce” in Detroit.

Don Boyd, who serves as VP/Market Director for Cumulus in Mobile, said, “Mojo is a talented programmer and on-air personality with a solid track record running Urban, CHR, Gospel and NewsTalk. He will be a great addition to our top performing Mobile team as Operations Manager for our group of five stations. »
